Words don't come easy.

I've never been a fan of "promises".

How someone could convince me that:
- they will "always" be there for me
- they will never judge me
- they will never forget their promises
- they will do this and that for me
- they will never do wrong to me in a particular way
- I can always trust them
- my secret's always safe with them

Promises (n)
1. a declaration that something will or will not be done, given
2. an express assurance on which expectation is to be based
3. something that has the effect of an express assurance; indication of what may be expected
4. indication of future excellence or achievement
5. something that is promised

The above explanation have mentioned a couple of words that made me think how important it is when someone makes a promise.

It makes me expect and with expectation comes disappointment.

It makes me feel assured but the next thing I know, I've been betrayed.

I'd never want to believe in anyone's promises to me because those are afterall, sugar coated words.

When people are curious about you, they made it sound like you could trust them. (Wolves in a sheep's clothing)

There are only a couple of people around me that I could trust. And if you realized that I've stopped sharing things closer to the heart, you know that you've lost my trust for you.

xx
